“Brotherhood in Action” Celebration Benefit Honoring Chief Dennis Allen set for September

ANGOLA, NY - Chief Dennis Allen has been an active member of the Evans Center Volunteer Fire Company for almost 40 years, having served as a fire department officer for nearly his entire firefighting and EMS career.

Dennis responded twice to Ground Zero following the attacks of September 11, 2001 and helped shape emergency medical services in the Town of Evans. He served as the local representative to the Erie County Fire Advisory Board, as Code Enforcement Officer for Towns of Evans and Hanover; and as an EMT-I for Rural Metro Medical Services.

Along with his wife Marlene and sons Scott and Marcus, this fire service leader has devoted his entire life to serving his community.

Now Denny Allen needs our help.

Chief Allen is stricken with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and is now on a waiting list for a double lung transplant at the Cleveland Clinic. The procedure requires the couple to relocate to the Cleveland area for up to three months afterwards.

We are asking for your help in providing a donation for Door Prizes, Theme Basket/Chinese Auction items or other supplies or items that could be used to support this benefit.

Donations can be mailed to or dropped off at the:
Town of Evans Tax Department - 8787 Erie Road, Angola New York
8am to 4pm – Monday-Friday
Or arrangements for pickup can be made by calling Lynn at (716) 341-9853.

Please help us give back to a man that has given so much to our community. All proceeds will help offset significant medical and living expenses; and the loss of income for Denny and Marlene, as she cares for him following this surgery.

Thanks in advance for your consideration and support. Please keep Dennis and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
