Tenn. fire chief dies after pushing 2 firefighters to safety

PARSONS, Tenn. — A Tenn. volunteer fire chief died in a roof collapse while fighting a structure fire Saturday.

Chief Kenny Fox, 39, a firefighter for 20 years, died from injuries sustained when the roof of a burning bar and grill collapsed on him.

Chief Fox reportedly pushed two other Decatur County Volunteer Fire Department firefighters outside of the structure just before the collapse. Firefighters and siblings Jeremy Inman and Randy Inman were transported to the hospital, according to the Jackson Sun, where Randy Inman was treated and released.

Jeremy Inman is in stable condition.
