The Iron River (Wis.) Fire Department: CustomFIRE

The Iron River (Wis.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a pumper from CustomFIRE Apparatus. The apparatus, built on an International five-seater chassis, is equipped with an International DT570 310-hp engine; an Allison 3000 EVS transmission; a 750-gallon polypropylene water tank (20-gallon foam); a FoamPro 2001 single-agent foam system; and a 500-gpm, rear-mount Waterous pump. It also features a Smart Power 120/240-V hydraulic generator, two 10-foot-long sections of 5" hard-suction hose, Whelen and Code 3 warning lights and a Code 3 siren, as well as Fire Research 750-watt telescoping quartz floodlights.
