The Newmanstown (Pa.) Fire Department: KME

The Newmanstown (Pa.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a KME pumper powered by a 455-hp Detroit Series 60 engine and an Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmission. The apparatus is equipped with a Waterous 1,750-gpm single pump and a 750-gallon polypropylene IIE tank. It also features Code 3 upper warning lights and Whelen lower warning lights, a Harrison 15-watt hydraulic PTO generator, two Hannay hydraulic reels with 100 feet of twin hose and five coffin compartments.
