The Mayo Area (S.C.) Fire District: Red Diamond

The Mayo Area (S.C.) Fire District has taken delivery of a Red Diamond pumper/tanker. Built on a five-seater Peterbilt 335 chassis, the apparatus is powered by a 330-hp Cummins ISC engine and an Allison EVS 3000 transmission. It is equipped with a CFP Pol-E-Gold 3,000-gallon dump tank in a drop-down carrier and a Hale Qflo 1,250-gpm pump. The apparatus also features SCBA seats in the cab, SCBA bottle storage, a Trident air primer, a Class 1 Es-Key multiplexed electrical system and an LED warning light package.
