The Cologne (Minn.) Fire & Rescue Department: CustomFIRE

The Cologne (Minn.) Fire & Rescue Department has taken delivery of a pumper from CustomFIRE Apparatus. Built on a five-seat Spartan Gladiator chassis, the apparatus features a 400-hp Cummins ISL engine, an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission and anti-lock brakes. Firefighting equipment includes a Waterous CSUYCX 1,500-gpm, single-stage pump; a Smart Power 10-kW hydraulic generator; a 750-gallon plastic water tank (20-gallons foam); Fire Research 750-watt/120-V telescoping quartz floodlights; SCBA storage; and a hydraulic, drop-down ladder rack with a compartment for hard-suction hose.
