The Simpsonville (S.C.) Fire Department: Spartan Fire & Emergency

The Simpsonville (S.C.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a rescue pumper from Spartan Fire & Emergency Apparatus. Built on a six-seat Pierce Arrow XT chassis, the apparatus features a 425-hp Pierce engine; an aluminum body; a United Plastics Fabricating 1,000-gallon polypropylene water tank; a 1,500-gpm Waterous CSUY midship-mounted, single-stage pump; a 6-kW Harrison hydraulic generator; TAK-4 independent front suspension; and a 19" extended front bumper.
