Colo. fire department gets new ambulance

Med 21 is a 2006 Medtec ProDuty 146 mounted on a Ford F350 chassis. It was delivered to the Rye Fire Protection District in Colorado City, Colo., December 2006. It is outfitted with four-wheel drive, IV warmers, a 2500 watt inverter, and the capacity to treat two advanced life support patients at the same time. A sister unit with the same specifications will arrive in April 2007. They were sold by Front Range Fire Equipment of Boulder, CO.
