Architect pleads not guilty in LA firefighter's death
Gerhard Albert Becker, the owner and architect of the home that caught fire and partially collapsed, killing Firefighter Glenn Allen, has been ordered to stand trial. A presiding judge believes that Becker went out of his way to bypass building regulations and negligently built an outdoor fireplace inside. Investigators said the cause of the blaze was traced to that fireplace. Full Story
