"I believe that driver/operators, who function soley in that capacity, could seriously jeopardize the firefight. The suggestion of such a position within the firefighting team ignores universally accepted firefighting practices. And if the firefight goes bad before other companies arrive, what will this pseudo-driver do — radio for help?"
