This marks the 200th issue of the FireRescue1 Member News, a very meaningful milestone and a good opportunity for reflection. In just over 2 years, we've grown the FireRescue1 community to more than 51,000 members and are now visited by more than 210,000 fire professionals each month - a one-year growth of over 140 percent!

We're very happy to be considered a top online resource for fire news and information, and we look forward to continuing to grow our community with new features and offerings, including some major additions on the video front coming in the next couple of months.

Three years after racist transmissions over fire radio reopened decades-old wounds in the Chicago Fire Department, the city's 5,000 firefighters and paramedics will be required to undergo three hours of sensitivity training.

Fire Department brass have already gone through sensitivity training that includes role-playing and education about the customs of various ethnic and racial groups.
