Dear FireRescue1 Member,

We're happy to welcome two great new columnists to our ranks in this newsletter: Bill Delaney and Jay Lowry.

Jay Lowry runs the popular fire blogs FirefighterHourly.com, which provides commentary on fire service issues, and FirefighterHourlyCentral.com, which promotes safety and survival for firefighters. He has served in positions ranging from firefighter to chief fire marshal in S.C., and his column will discuss strategies and tactics to promote fireground safety.

Bill Delaney is the program manager for community safety education at Montgomery County, Md., Fire & Rescue, and has been a member of the fire service for more than 25 years. His monthly column, "Prevention Matters," will offer advice on implementing fire prevention and public safety programs.
