It's Operational
Save Lives or Take Lives: It's Your Choice
There's an operation that takes place when any call for emergency services comes in: getting into a multi-ton vehicle and riding it to the scene of the incident. Even if a person walks up to your station in need of help, at some point you'll put them in an ambulance and drive them somewhere. Or you get in that big red truck and go to the fire or other emergency.

Say, hypothetically, I am accepted and go to the academy. I notice cadets don't make crap for money, and neither do you when you are a "probie." So should I be looking for a 2nd job while trying to make rank in the Fire Dept? When you go to the academy are you there 24/7 for 3 months or do you get time to go home? How does it all work?
