Dear FireRescue1 Member,

MRSA infections are rising among firefighters. Close skin-to-skin contact, cuts or abrasions, contaminated items and surfaces, and crowded living conditions are all linked to the spread of the drug-resistant staph infection. It's fair to say your station, fire truck and equipment could all be harboring the bacteria. FireRescue1 and EMS1 columnist Mike McEvoy is now conducting research into firefighter MRSA infections and family members affected. If you have been diagnosed as having a MRSA infection, you can take part in Mike's short, anonymous survey by emailing Mike.McEvoy@FireRescue1.com.

It's getting to be an old refrain for you, isn't it? Fuel prices are chewing up what available budget you have.
