Problem: Stiff, poor-fitting boots hurt your feet and your performance. Globe is the solution. Globe Structural Series is certified to NFPA 1971 (Structural Fire Fighting) and NFPA 1992 (Liquid Splash). Unique cement construction combines contoured outsole, 3D lasting board with built-in flex zone, and multi-layer composite puncture protection. Without stiff welts, ribbed midsoles, or steel plates, this attachment process is far more flexible than traditional welt construction.

The Things I Carried
By Charles Bailey, FireRescue1 columnist
Last week I finally got a moment to myself and picked up my old, well worn copy of Tim O'Brien's "The Things They Carried," a collection of stories about a platoon of American soldiers in the Vietnam War. An excerpt reads: American soldiers in Vietnam during the war carry many things, most of them from home … The men in his platoon carry objects that revealed their personalities.

Using Juniors as a Rehab Team
Submitted by Mary Hauprich
In our department, we use our Juniors whenever we can — primarily as a top-notch rehab team. They each get "Rehab Bags" and at fire scenes (out of the hot zone), they get busy setting up a bottle switch-out station. They're prepared with tarps, water, hot/cold packs, mini-first-aid kits, garbage bags (to collect empties), energy bars, etc. Full Tip
