Firefighters are already familiar with some new fire service electronics. While PASS devices have long been a standard fixture, the mandate for heads-up displays in the facepiece has been a sign of future improvements. In addition, the commonplace use of thermal imaging cameras shows how electronics can become a mainstay of the protective system.
