Probe into Boston firefighter deaths questioned |
Mass. fire damages 16 structures

The Boston Fire Department's internal inquiry into the deaths of two firefighters last year has been controlled by members of the powerful firefighters union, leading some outside specialists to question the objectivity of the probe.The panel did not investigate the potential level of impairment of the firefighters who died in the Aug. 29 fire, sources said, and excluded an analysis of autopsy reports showing that one was legally drunk, and the other had traces of cocaine in his system ...
