Spring wildfires plague several states, marks start of tough season

Over the past few weeks several states - including Georgia, California, Minnesota and Florida - have erupted in wildfire. Dry winter conditions and a continued lack of precipitation for the beginning of spring have left these areas high and dry and ripe for fast moving fires that have consumed thousands of acres and left hundreds homeless.

While some states are burning, others are in preparation for what promises to be one of the worst wildfire seasons on record. Firefighters in Florida continue to struggle with rapidly increasing blazes and Colorado officials are predicting a catastrophic season.
