2 injured in Baltimore fire

No firefighters were injured in the blaze that seriously burned one of the victims

The Capital

BALTIMORE — Two people have been injured in a fire that broke out in a Baltimore home.

Firefighters were called to the home on Belleview Avenue around 6 a.m. Tuesday. Fire department spokesman Kevin Cartwright says two people suffered burns in the blaze. One person had more serious injuries. They were taken to a hospital for treatment.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames had extended throughout the three-story home. No firefighters were injured.

Cartwright says the fire was mostly out by 6:45 a.m., but firefighters were still extinguishing hot spots.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
