Helmet cam: Close-up of house fire bailout

A mayday was called after a firefighter said he had fallen through a floor and was burning

GREAT MILLS, Md. — Helmet cam footage captures a bailout at a Md. house fire on Sunday.

Firefighters from several different stations were dispatched to battle the single-story house fire, according to Hollywood VFD.

When more firefighters arrived, they saw an interior firefighter at a window asking for help, saying he was burning and had fallen through the floor. Crews assisted the firefighter and pulled him away from the structure.

A mayday was also delivered during the blaze as contact was broken with some of the firefighters, but was called off once contact was restored.

One firefighter was airlifted to the hospital but was later released and another refused treatment and has recovered.

If you read the article all have been release and one refused care. If you don't ask questions, no one will learn.........

I will stand up and support all firefighters who have gone through similiar events, but let's attempt to learn from others misfortune. Mr. Smith if you have anything to do with training within your department you would understand this point. I also wish the best to these gentlemen. Let's not make this a forum of arguement, but for learning.
