| Fire Fighter Initial Hire Testing
The Kewanee Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be conducting examinations to establish a Final Eligibility Register for initial hire for the Kewanee Fire Department. There is no fee for this examination process. Orientation and written examination will be conducted on February 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Kewanee City Hall, 401 E. Third St., Kewanee, IL. Those passing the written component will proceed to the physical component. Those passing both the written and physical components will proceed to oral interviews for the subjective component of the examination. Physical testing is anticipated to be conducted on March 10, 2012 with oral interviews anticipated to be conducted on March 13-15, 2012. Those passing all examination components will have an opportunity to claim preference points in select categories. A complete explanation of the examination process is available at cityofkewanee.com. Applications may be obtained at Kewanee City Hall, 401 E. Third Street, Kewanee, IL 61443-2365, or on line at cityofkewanee.com. Completed applications, with original signature, must be returned to City of Kewanee, City Manager, 401 E. Third Street, Kewanee, IL 61443-2365 no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 10, 2012.
