Job Description
|
| We are accepting applications for Probationary EMT/Firefighter to establish an eligibility list and will be holding a written and physical ability test in May for positions opening in July.
Completed applications are due by close of business March 30, 2012. Qualified applicants will receive notification by email with further instructions about the testing process. An additional ALS Incentive is offered for existing EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic ($6,000 or $7,000). 50% upon hire will be added to the annual salary, and the remaining 50% will be added after being cleared operationally.
Probationary EMT/Firefighters perform responsible protective service work in fire suppression, emergency medical services and hazardous materials; and do related work as required. Work is often performed under emergency and non-emergency conditions and frequently involves considerable personal hazards. Work is performed under regular supervision.

* Non-tobacco user
* EMT-Basic or higher
* Firefighter I certification (NFPA 1001)
* Hazmat Awareness (NFPA 472)
Preferred Certifications Include:
* EMT-Intermediate
* EMT-Paramedic
* EVOC III (NFPA 1002)
