Job Description

Check Lancaster's City Website: www.lancaster-tx.com to find copy of Notice of Civil Service Entrance Examination under Human Resources Department (HR). Test to be administered Saturday, 3/31/12. Basic Firefighter & EMT OR Paramedic Certificates + Driver's License MUST be provided at time Application is turned in to HR's Office at 1425 N. Dallas Ave., Room 206, Second Floor of the Regions Bank Building, Lancaster, TX 75134. Phone: 972-275-1790/1795. Applicants over 35 years of age are ineligible to take written Civil Service Exam.

Applications & study guides may be acquired at Office of Human Resources 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, M-F., 1425 N. Dallas Ave., Second Floor, Lancaster, TX 75134. Must be fully Certified with TEXAS Fire Commission as Basic FF AND fully certified with TEXAS Dept. of Health as EMT OR must be fully certified or licensed with TEXAS Dept. of Health as a Paramedic. See NOTICE for additional information/requirements.

Job Requirements

Age 19
Education Basic FF & EMT OR Paramedic
Experience No prior experience as a FF but be through schooling
Additional Requirement :
FF Entrance Exam will be administered from 9:00 am to 10:45 am, Saturday, 3/31/12. NOTE: Physical Agility Test will be administered immediately after the Entrance Exam at Station #1 for those who pass the written exams. Bring proper clothing & shoes to participate in physical activity. All questions pertaining to Physical Agility Test should be referred to Chief Griffith at 972-218-2600.

Salary Information

Salary: $41,872 entry level annual
