GOSHEN, N.H. — A fire truck ran off the road and crashed on the way to a car accident in Goshen, injuring two people inside.
A volunteer firefighter and a passenger were hurt when the fire truck's cab came off and crashed to the ground after the truck ran off the right side of the road shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, the police said.
The driver, volunteer firefighter John Herr, 53, told the police he was hanging up his microphone after speaking on the radio when the right side tires went into the soft shoulder. He could not bring the truck back onto the road.
Herr was treated and released. His passenger, John Hopkins, 71, was admitted with head and possible chest injuries.
