RICHMOND, Va. — One man was killed and three firefighters injured after a Henrico County accident involving a fire truck.

According to police, Frederick Hicks was driving his sedan through the intersection of Creighton Road and Laburnum Avenue around 1 p.m. Sunday when it collided with a fire truck. Hicks, 40, died on scene. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Investigators say the fire truck was responding to a house fire call when the collision occurred. Witnesses say the truck was using its lights and sirens.
