Ohio volunteer firefighter killed in rollover

HARPSTER, Ohio — A volunteer firefighter from north central Ohio was killed Monday night when the fire truck he was driving went off the road and rolled over.

Richard Kear of Harpster was airlifted to Grant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. on State Route 294, west of U.S. 23 in Pitt Township.
