Video: Criminal's GPS tracker puts him at scene of arson

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Arson gumshoes in Springfield said they bagged a convicted firebug red-footed at a 'deliberately set' apartment-house torching thanks to the GPS bracelet that showed probationer Jeremy Morin at the Central Street property just before it went up in flames.

"This was a first for us," said Lt. John Friberg, head of the Springfield Fire Department's arson squad.

Dee Stephan Dee Stephan Monday, September 10, 2012 6:16:32 PM Can't beat NAFI 921- Although, -Had a guy fire up his ex wife's house...but he'd recently got a title loan on his vehicle & the loan company had put a motion sensitive tracking device on the car that recorded every place the vehicle went, logged each time the vehicle was in motion and stored the driving routes & movement times....combined w/ a "nosy" neighbor, irrefutable physical & chemical evidence & an exhaustive C&O investigation, he is now on "a state vacation."
