75 firefighters battle 10-acre fire in California’s desert

On July 2, the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) and the United States Forest Service (USFS) fought a 10-acre brush fire that erupted in the late afternoon in Little Rock, Calif., near Palmdale.

Despite the high winds and temperature, the approximately 75 personnel working the fire were able to contain it in about two hours. Although the cause of the fire is unknown, fire personnel believe it was a natural cause.
