Prepare for this year's fire season: Register for the 2006 Wildland Fire Conference

Wildland Fire 2006 offers networking, education & exhibits to help you prepare for the 2006 fire season

Register Today for Wildland Fire 2006 - March 8 & 9

As fire on the wildland/urban interface continues to grow, and as wildland firefighters are increasingly called to assist in non-fire emergency responses, it's critical that wildland firefighters work effectively with other emergency personnel and with members of the community. Wildland Fire 2006 (March 8-9 in Phoenix, Ariz.) will provide you with operational best practices for preparedness and response, innovations and procedures in firefighter safety, actionable findings from National Fire Plan research, and tools for engaging community stakeholders as partners. Register Now.

"The conference is planned with five separate tracks that tie together into a common theme," says Bob Roper, chief of the Ventura County (Calif.) Fire Department and the conference's closing keynote speaker. "These different tracks are intended to attract urban planners, community groups, firefighters-both wildland and urban-command officers and policymakers." The conference workshops and case studies will be incorporated into one of the following five educational tracks:

Track 1: Community Planning
Track 2: Community Protection Education
Track 3: Firefighter Safety and Training
Track 4: Emergency Response Resources
Track 5: Response and Restoration Alternatives
