Today marks the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that occured in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001, and, like every year, fire and EMS agencies around the country are posting tributes to the brothers and sisters they lost on that day, and in the years since.
The posts are a sobering reminder of what the nation faced on that early September morning, and the sacrifices first responders made and continue to make every day.
AFR members complete the 5th and final ascent for a total of 110 stories demanding physical and emotional strength to honor the 343 firefighters that paid the ultimate sacrifice 17 years ago.Posted by Albuquerque Fire Rescue on Tuesday, September 11, 2018
