A woman who was rescued from her burning home on the West Side was accused days later of starting the fire, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Diana Prater, 35, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of arson, jail records showed. Her bail was set at $15,000.
On Saturday, 15 fire trucks responded to a fire in the 7600 block of Stagecoach Lane, according to Prater's affidavit. The firefighters rescued her from the home before they extinguished the flames.
Investigators quickly determined the fir was intentionally set, according to the affidavit.
A paramedic told investigators that Prater told him she started the fire, using hand sanitizer, an aerosol can and matches to light engulf her mattress in flames, the affidavit says.
Prater said she got into an argument with someone on the previous night, but did not elaborate, according to the affidavit.
Prater's criminal record includes a conviction for causing injury to a child, Bexar County court records showed.
