Ambulance crash leaves woman in critical condition
LAPD officials said the ambulance was traveling at normal speed without emergency lights

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles woman is in critical condition after being involved in a collision with an ambulance on Saturday.
According to LAPD officials, the LAFD ambulance had the green light when it was struck by a car that was headed in another direction, KTLA 5 News reports.
Firefighters had to free the woman from her vehicle but she was conscious and speaking at the time. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters involved in the crash were checked out for minor injuries. LAPD Officer Melissa Podany said the ambulance was traveling at normal speed without emergency lights or sirens.
