CHELSEA, Mass. — Two firefighters were injured while helping battle a massive blaze Wednesday that displaced 15 people.
NBC Boston reported that the firefighters were helping battle a 6-alarm blaze that quickly spread throughout three, three-story apartment buildings.
"Very, very big building. Very easily could have been an area fire involving this whole block," Chelsea Fire Chief Leonard Albanese said.
The two firefighters were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Residents were seen running out of the buildings, with one man wearing only socks. No residents were hurt in the fire, which took more than an hour to extinguish.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
