N.Y. medic arrested for sexual assault of teen boy

WOODMERE, N.Y. — A volunteer paramedic was arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a teenage boy while on duty.  

The Suffolk County Police Department opened an investigation into Judah Karkowsky in August after learning about an alleged incident involving the suspect and a 13-year-old boy while he was on duty as a paramedic with the Woodmere Fire Department, the Daily Voice reported.

Karkowsky was arrested at his home on September 23 and charged with second-degree sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.  

The investigation is ongoing.
