2 Ala. firefighters seriously hurt in training session
Officials said one firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and the other suffered burns; both were transported to the hospital

OPELIKA, Ala. — Two firefighters were injured while participating in a training exercise Thursday.
OA Now reported that one of the unnamed Opelika Fire Rescue firefighters suffered smoke inhalation, and the other suffered burns, according to Opelika Police Capt. Bobby Kilgore.
Capt. Kilgore described both of their injuries as “serious.”
No other details have been released. The incident is currently under investigation.
