Video: Fallen Tenn. firefighter’s daughter sings him ‘Happy Birthday’
A video shows Jason Dickey’s 3-year-old daughter, Korbyn, singing “Happy Birthday” on what would have been Dickey’s 39th birthday
LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — The daughter of a fallen firefighter sang “Happy Birthday” to him in a heartwarming video.
Dickey, who was killed Feb. 12 when a house collapsed on him while he battled a blaze, would have turned 39 on Wednesday.
Jennifer, Dickey’s wife, said the family placed new flowers on his grave, released balloons and had a cake.
"You don't replace Jason Dickey," Battalion Chief Chad Methvin said. "Whenever I turn and look, there are two or three faces I always look for... Jason was always one of those faces. I knew if he was there ... I knew I could depend on him."
