SFD: Evolution of EMS–
SFD: Evolution of EMS explores the history of the Shreveport Fire Department entering into the EMS Transport business in late 1983. It explores what we've come from to where we are now using vintage 1980's footage to present day coverage using Drones, FireCam, GoPro, and DSLR style film. Thank you to all who made this video possible. CPT Barbara Sellers used this video as an introduction to her workshop at the 2015 Redmond Symposium showing off our EMS system and the SFD. While body surfing, Daren Jenner, 55, heard a call for help. He found a man struggling in the water and pulled him to shore.
DUI driver steals fire chief's car, crashes into house–
The vehicle had been stolen from a Los Angeles County Fire Department facility nearby. The driver fled the crash scene, but was later arrested.

The timing of the accident helped avoid an enormous disaster, as the underground Blue Line station is usually packed with travelers. More than 30 people were hurt, but none had life-threatening injuries.

Ron Jones, a Detroit firefighter for 21 years, was saluted for his gentlemanly gesture after giving a shivering evacuee at a house fire his heavy overalls and boots.
