Video: Responders escort fallen battalion chief’s daughter to school

Hundreds of firefighters and police officers lined the streets as the daughter of Battalion Chief James Nelson, who died from a brain aneurism, went to school

GILBERT, Ariz. — First responders escorted the daughter of a fallen battalion chief to her first day of school.

FOX10 reported that hundreds of firefighters and police officers lined the streets as late Battalion Chief James Nelson’s daughter headed to Campo Verde High School.

Nelson died in the hospital Wednesday after suffering a brain aneurism after his shift, according to ABC15.

The battalion chief’s daughter rode in a fire truck to the high school and was greeted by two lines of police and fire officials.
