COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A firefighter died Monday after completing physical training, according to officials.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Cobb County Fire Department firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware, 44, had just successfully completed her physical tests when she collapsed at the station, according to Lt. Dan Dupree.
She was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
“We extend our thoughts and prayers to the family of firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware during this difficult time,” Lt. Dupree said.
The 29-year fire veteran had worked at several fire stations and was a member of the hazardous materials team.
