FDIC canceled; new event scheduled for 2020
The first United Fire Conference will be held in September, and will focus on international firefighting issues, including pandemic response, infection control and emergency planning

A new event scheduled for September will take the place of this year's annual FDIC International conference, originally scheduled for April and initially postponed due to COVID-19.
Clarion Events Fire & Rescue Group announced the first United Fire Conference will be held Sept. 22-24 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis to discuss international firefighter issues, including global pandemic, infection control, hazards in blended missions, and how we can better prepare for the future together.
In addition, 50% of registration revenue generated by the conference will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Tunnel to Towers.
The organization said they are is monitoring the public health situation and adhering to safety guidelines, and will announce any changes to the conference timeline as it gets closer.
The next FDIC International conference is scheduled for April 19-24, 2021, at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium.
