Driver slams SUV into fire truck, police car

For the 3rd time in recent years, a Marietta, Georgia Police Department officer narrowly escaped death or serious injury when a suspected DUI driver sideswiped his patrol car and rammed a Fire Truck working an accident on I-75. Firefighters also were fortunately working the wreck on the other side of the truck when the Jeep Cherokee rammed their truck. The squad car is totaled, the truck out of commission. The driver was jailed on DUI and other charges, blowing more than .16 on the breathalyzer. The police report says after the incident the driver, William Poe, asked the officer if he'd just let him go to his friend's house. Uh, no. #wsbtv
