EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio — Fire officials say three children and a man were killed when a fire destroyed a house in far eastern Ohio.
Fire Chief William Jones says the blaze was reported Saturday shortly after midnight at a home in East Liverpool, and firefighters arrived within minutes. Jones says three boys ranging from 5 to 11 years old were killed, as was a man in his 30s.
Authorities are withholding their names until relatives could be notified.
Jones said the state fire marshal's office is investigating the blaze, and the cause hasn't been determined. No other injuries were reported.
Jones says it's the deadliest fire he's seen in more than two decades with the department.
