Mich. volunteer firefighter's house destroyed in fire
The firefighter, his wife and two sons were not home when the fire broke out
SELMA TWP., Mich. — A volunteer firefighter's house was destroyed in a fire Friday night.
9and10News.com reported that the firefighter, with the Selma Township Fire Department, his wife and two sons were not home when the fire broke out. Five departments responded to the call and Assistant Fire Chief Jason Baughan said they realized one of their firefighters lived there as they got closer.
Chief Baughan said the family lost everything in the fire. They're hoping people can donate clothes and personal hygiene items while the family rebuilds.
If you're interested in helping, you can contact the department through their Facebook page.
Baughan says the fire is still under investigation, but it looks like an electrical problem caused it.
