Experimental nano fabric may 'seal' PPE against heat

Researchers hope the artificial muscle can be woven into firefighting gear and will seal its own pores when faced with a flash of heat

WASHINGTON — An international team of researchers has created tiny artificial muscles that are 200 times stronger than human muscle fibers of comparable size.

In the future, improved versions of the muscles could go into the next generation of movers and doers, Discovery News reported.
