Harrison Hydra-Gen releases battery-powered Idle Control System

HOUSTON — Harrison Hydra-Gen announced the release of its new battery-powered Idle Control System this month.

The Idle Control System is designed to power warning lights, work lights and scene lights for more than 120 minutes. Harrison Hydra-Gen’s new battery-powered system assists first responders by reducing:

• Fuel costs
• Excessive engine wear
• Scene noise
• Emissions

The new system also allows operators to remain in the cab and stay comfortable without running the engine.

The Harrison Hydra-Gen Idle Control System comes in six different configurations:

• 2 battery/1-charger
• 2 battery/1 charger (requires second DC alternator)
• 2 battery/2 charger (requires Harrison Rapid Charge generator or an existing Harrison generator)
• 3 battery/1-charger
• 3 battery/1-charger (requires second DC alternator)
• 3 battery/3-charger (requires Harrison Rapid Charge generator or an existing Harrison generator)
