Emmitsburg, Maryland – The new 2010 Tribute Red Blend from Distant Cellars is ready for public sale, but if the private pre-orders are any indication, it won’t be around long. Now is your chance to purchase the first vintage of this exceptional wine. The winery’s newsletter recipients had an opportunity to place an advance order April 2-3 and public sales begin today.

This full-bodied red wine was created by Distant Cellars to honor the memories of firefighters who died in the line of duty and will support the work of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

“We have had a tremendous response and are selling quickly. We did our best to spread the wine out by limiting the maximum number of bottles that people can buy, but I would encourage everyone to order as soon as possible if they want any of this great wine and to help the NFFF with their purchase,” said Drew Gaiser, president of Distant Cellars.

Tribute is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet grapes that were harvested in 2010. The wine was carefully aged for more than 24 months and bottled on February 26. Each bottle is $28 plus shipping and handling, and 30 percent of the sales will be donated to the NFFF.

Distant Cellars is a family-owned winery in Fiddletown, California. Go to www.distantcellars.com for more information. To learn more about the work of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, go to www.firehero.org.
