FireRescue GPO Adds New Fire Apparatus Contracts
FireRescue GPO is a free program serving the fire service for over a decade, providing “group” or cooperative procurement solutions for a variety of goods and services used in the fire service. Founded by the Western Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), the program has grown to a national level through partnerships with the IAFC, its U.S. Divisions and state fire chiefs associations.
Departments save time by piggy-backing off publicly solicited contracts rather than completing their own RFP process. Pricing is often better than they would obtain on their own and procurement staff time is also reduced.
With five different manufacturers on contract, departments can purchase a full range of fire apparatus and brush trucks without having to complete their own RFP process. Members have the option to purchase rigs from a variety of quality, well-known manufacturers they know and trust, all while saving time and money. Departments save time by piggy-backing off publicly solicited contracts. Pricing is often better than they would obtain on their own and procurement staff time is also reduced. FireRescue GPO is always looking to diversify their solutions and the addition of the apparatus contracts will enable them to continue helping their members in an impactful way.
