COLUMBUS, Ohio — In honor of EMS Week, members of the Columbus Division of Fire helped guide approximately 100 middle school kids at Sherwood Middle School on hands-only CPR, proper bleeding control techniques and AED use.

The instructional event was helmed by Columbus EMS instructor Firefighter Robert Kelley and CPR instructor Jillian Gates.

"The Division also provided a Medic truck for students to tour while CFD paramedic Phillip Harrow explained the functions of the equipment and provided an overview of EMS Medic operations and procedures," according to a Facebook post by the division.
