Sen. Tim Solobay, Canonsburg's volunteer fire chief, slammed two assailants and activated the siren on his vehicle

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Two Harrisburg teens charged with attempting to rob a Washington County legislator last year were bound over for trial Friday after a hearing in Dauphin County Court.

Harrisburg police charged Thomas Evans, 16, and Sharief Hand, 17, with accosting Sen. Tim Solobay, D-Canonsburg, about 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 28 at Green and Kelker streets. Solobay at the time was a representative. He since has been elected senator for the 46th District.
