NFPA offers free public access to standards to help manage COVID-19

The codes and standards provide organizations guidance on crisis management, PPE and infection control

QUINCY, Mass. — The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is offering free public access to codes and standards to help organizations address the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There has never been a more critical time to work together to safeguard lives from this public health crisis,” the NFPA said in an announcement. “Regardless of whether COVID-19 has already hit your community, the threat provides the opportunity to evaluate your readiness and put a plan in place if the danger of the virus continues to grow.”

The association encouraged organizations to use its standards to assist with prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts during the pandemic.
